Dr. Charles Drew - Black Innovators poster
This educational poster of Dr. Charles Drew features a black and white photo of this great African American scientist and innovator, along with a concise biography. Born in 1904, Dr. Charles Drew became famous for his innovative work with blood plasma. In the 1930s, he discovered that it made more sense to use plasma for transfusions on the battlefield, saving many lives. He also organized and became the first director of the American Red Cross Blood Bank.
