Social Studies Activities Kids Can't Resist
Students review completed units and learn new material by working on more than 40 creative things to do. They may, for example, write a rebus story about the Pilgrims, brainstorm the top ten reasons Columbus failed to reach Asia, design a theme park for the American Revolution, compete in a trivia scavenger hunt on U.S. geography, or play a game to decide which Ben Franklin is telling the truth. Adaptable to any topic, activities include reproducibles, patterns, student work samples, lists of needed materials, learning extensions, and correlations with NCSS strands and levels of Bloom s taxonomy.
