The Impressionists- Degas
The Renaissance painters greatly influenced Hilaire Degas. He pioneered precision of line and the use of the human form in space within the Impressionist school. Born in Paris and a student of Ingres, Degas created masterpieces such as "Rehearsal of the Ballet" and "The Cotton Exchange." Includes footage of the Royal Ballet in Birmingham, England.
